Yano’s Visit to Angola, Djibouti and Eritrea 2018-01-19
November 26 to December 10, 2017, Yano, the presidentof AFRECO, together with corporate members and others, visited 3 Africancountries: Angola, Djibouti and Eritrea.
In Angola, Yano had opportunities to meet and discuss with 4 Ministers, 3 Vice-Ministers,Adviser to the President (former ambassador to Japan) as well as Japanese business men living in Angola. Many topics were brought up during the meetings including renewable energy projects and mine removing.
ToDjibouti, Yano went as a head of mission organized by Embassy of Djibouti inJapan and AFRECO, supported by JETRO. It was the occasion of celebration of the110 year of Djibouti Chamber of Commerce. It was a great honor for Yano to bewelcomes by the President.
In Eritrea, Yano was given wonderful opportunities to meet 4 Ministers, Chief of Agency of Sport and Cultural Affairs and Executive Director National Board of Higher Education and Research. He also visited many sites of Asmara which registered as one of the World Heritage.
It turned out to be a long two-week tour but really fruitful, and there seems some projects which is actually blooming. AFRECO hopes to keep working as a bridge between African countries and Japan.
