A celebration to commemorate the export of avocados to Japan was held at the South African Ambassador’s residence, and we made a toast.
Importing avocados from South Africa has been an issue for 30 years.
Last year, Yano and former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Mr. Nomura were inspired by the ambassador’s enthusiasm and worked hard.
The issue was finally resolved and started importing the products. His Excellency the Ambassador will be leaving his post at the end of this month, and we will miss him very much.
